DocCert

Document Certification

Pharmacists are generally authorised to certify that documents are true copies of originals.

Different rules apply in different States and Territories and for different documents, so it is important to check with your pharmacist about what the requirements are for your State or Territory.

A certified copy is a copy of an original document such as a birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of identity that has been authorised (or stamped) as being a true copy of an original. These certified copies are often required in support of loans, job applications and government services.

Your pharmacist may also be authorised to witness your signature on documents.  It is important that you do not sign the document before taking it to the pharmacy as the pharmacist must physically witness you signing the document in their presence.

Speak to your pharmacy to organise an appointment for your document certification.
